Historic Preservation

The McKernon Group has always been interested in preserving the historic landscapes in a community that values authenticity. We have the craftsmen and project management capabilities to oversee the process of restoring old buildings to their original beauty. This involves understanding their construction and combining the old with the new without compromising the design or structure of the building. We are committed to renovating in a deliberate and responsible way, and have been invited by the Preservation Trust of Vermont to be included in their directory based on the quality of our work in this field.

“Stevens” is an historic 19th century building located in the heart of Rochester, Vermont across from the town park which have  been renovated for 3 condominiums.  This building is named in honor of George Stevens, the original builder of this home, circa 1800.
