Divisions

As The McKernon Group has evolved over the past three decades, we have purposely formed specialized divisions of the company in order to have a more diverse blend of skills and abilities and keep more of our work “in house” where we can control costs and scheduling. Over time, some of these facets of our company have grown into much larger entities that deserved their own brand outright. This incubator approach has led to the formation of completely separate companies, such as Green Mountain Windows in Rutland, Vermont, as well as company owned subsidiaries.

UFO (Urethane Foam Operations)

This company was established in 1968 by Jack McKernon and was brought back into existence in order to meet the growing demand for rigid urethane spray foam for thermal insulation of buildings and roofs. It is safe for the environment, and is ideal to use in your home or business.

Vermont Woodland Cabinets (VWC)

Located in an expansive setting in a nearby building, this company is made up of crafters of fine wood cabinets for custom kitchens and baths, as well as quality furniture. Designing and building custom cabinetry is an art, and the clients of VWC benefit from their knowledge and talent.

Green Earth Energy (Gee)

Established as an individual company in 2010, our newest company is a response to the growing demand for renewable energy. They design, install, and maintain solar panels, wind turbines and other systems.
